Is it safe to brew tea in the sun or to make what is often referred to as 'sun tea'?

Pooki's Mahi does not recommend nor endorse the practice of making 'sun tea'.  Steeping tea bags in a container of water in the sun can cause a higher risk than brewing tea at higher temperatures as it creates an environment where bacteria are more likely to survive and multiply. Tea and tea products must be heated at a high enough temperature to help in controlling any natural bacteria activity that can occur in the process of making tea.

Please refer to Pooki's Mahi's tea brewing instructions for appropriate water temperatures on individual product pages and on the back of each tea package.
