What is an RFI?

Pooki's Mahi uses a standard high-tech RFI process to evaluate suppliers and vendors.  Pooki's Mahi's RFI process does not constitute a PO or contract to do business with the supplier or vendor.

Pooki's Mahi has a very strict and highly selective process.

  • Less than 10% of the target suppliers or vendors make it to the RFP stage.
  • Pooki's Mahi's RFI process is designed to obtain all information (including reference checks) to determine which suppliers or vendors will be invited for the actual pilot, a key QA/test activity in the RFP stage.

Official definition from Wikipedia:

A request for information (RFI) is a standard business process whose purpose is to collect written information about the capabilities of various suppliers. Normally it follows a format that can be used for comparative purposes.
