What is the credit card verification number?

The CCV three or four digit number printed on the credit card provides a safeguard when a purchase is made using a credit card.

• For Visa, MasterCard and Discover Network, it is the last three digits printed on the back of the card.
• For American Express, it is the four digits printed above the account number on the front of the card.
